Welcome to Navaroo

The Genesis of Navaroo

Navaroo's journey began with the inspiring story of Hashan Senarathna, an immigrant whose quest for a new beginning in Australia was met with unexpected challenges. Despite his extensive experience and qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Hashan found himself navigating a difficult job market, taking on roles as a commercial cleaner and Uber driver to make ends meet.

Enter Chris Keay, co-director of Navaroo and a seasoned entrepreneur with a wealth of experience in civil and landscape businesses, and a burgeoning venture in soil recycling. Recognizing Hashan's potential beyond his immediate circumstances, Chris offered Hashan an opportunity that would change the course of his life a chance to align his career with his qualifications, accompanied by a salary that exceeded industry standards. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a transformative partnership that extended beyond the professional realm.

Over the next six years, Hashan's journey within the industry was marked by significant achievements, including his role as an Estimating Manager for Victoria's largest Indigenous Business. His experiences not only highlighted the challenges immigrants face but also fueled his desire to mentor others, helping them overcome similar obstacles.

Together, 'Navaroo' symbolizes a new venture that combines Sri Lanka's innovative spirit and rich traditions with Australia's dynamism and resilience.
